Indianapolis Public Transportation (IndyGo) Discounted Fares and Paratransit Program

Seniors and people with disabilities can get reduced fares on the IndyGo public transportation system. The reduced fares are typically about half of the standard fare. If you cannot use the fixed route buses because you have a disability, you can use Open Door, the paratransit service. Open Door provides reservation-based, shared ride service for people with disabilities.

How do I apply?

To apply for a Half Fare ID Card, fill out the application and mail it according to the directions on the form. If you are requesting the Half Fare ID Card because you have a disability, you will also need to submit the Half Fare Supplemental Application Form.

To apply for the Open Door paratransit service, fill out the applications and follow the directions on the IndyGo Open Door website.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I eligible?

You can get reduced fares for the bus service if you are at least 65 years of age or you have a disability. If you are unable to use the regular bus service, you can apply for Open Door, the paratransit service.
